COURSE OVERVIEW

This program is designed for new surgical users who already possess basic surgical skills and wish to expand and place dental implants. At the completion of the course, you should feel comfortable with treatment planning and completing implant cases. Additionally, your dental assistant will be provided extensive training in their respective role.

A patient will be required (provided, if needed) for the surgical portion of this program. To ensure that your patient is an ideal candidate for implant surgery, please submit a panorex and a study model to Dr. Peterson two weeks before the course begins. Ideal candidates will require a simple, single tooth implant, preferably posterior with substantial bone available. You may choose to bill your patients at your discretion.

At the completion of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Identify surgical treatment planning options
  • Understand peri-operative managment and post operative instruction
  • Understand adjunctive methods and complicantions of implant surgery
  • Incorporate dental implants successfully into a treatment plan.
